Hosting and server logs

The site is a set of static files served from a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (EU), acting as processor under a data processing agreement. When you load a page, the server records your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the HTTP status, the referring page and your browser's user-agent.

Purpose: delivering the site and keeping it secure (detecting abuse and errors). Legal basis: legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

None. The site sets no cookies, uses no local storage, runs no analytics and embeds no third-party scripts, fonts, maps or videos. Fonts are served from this domain.

Contacting me

If you email me, I process your address and message to reply and, where relevant, to prepare or carry out a contract. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering enquiries). I keep correspondence as long as needed for that purpose and for statutory retention periods.

Request form

When you send the form on /request, I receive your name, email address, company (if given) and message. They are stored on the same server in Germany and forwarded to my inbox through the email delivery service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA; processor under a data processing agreement, with transfers covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). The form sets no cookies.

Purpose: answering your request and, if you want, preparing a project. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering enquiries). Stored form submissions are deleted automatically after 12 months; email correspondence is kept as described below. To limit abuse, the server briefly counts submissions per IP address in memory; this count is not stored.
